Measurement System

The WENZEL CORE D is a 5-axis, optical CMM system which is ideal for measurement of small to medium turbine blades, medical implants or any other parts with similar characteristics of polished, reflective surfaces and sharp edges. The new generation of CORE D has an automatic cover which closes during the measurement cycle ensuring perfect optical, thermal and clean conditions. The CORE D is shop-hardened, designed to be robot loaded and occupies a small footprint.

IDpartners carried out the complete engineering for a design concept which was developed by the Kaikai Company.

Engineering the Housing and Automated Door System

Building on an initial concept created by an external design agency, Wenzel Group partnered with IDpartners to transform the design into a fully manufacturable and production-ready solution.
A custom guidance system was developed for the automated roller-door enclosure, ensuring reliable performance and long-term durability. To verify its functionality under real-world conditions, extensive endurance testing was conducted throughout the development process using a dedicated test rig.
IDpartners also engineered the complete structural framework and all sheet metal components of the enclosure, producing detailed manufacturing documentation for production. Afterwards, fabrication was entrusted to a specialized sheet metal manufacturing partner. To guarantee a smooth and error-free final assembly, the components were also pre-assembled and validated prior to coating. As a result, the final system could be assembled efficiently and correctly the first time.
