SLM Solutions specializes in the production of high-precision 3D metal parts using ultra-fine metal powders. Through the Selective Laser Melting (SLM) process, fully dense metal components are manufactured directly from 3D CAD data by selectively fusing thin layers of metal powder with a laser beam.

For this next-generation system, IDpartners created a premium and distinctive design that seamlessly integrates with the SLM®280 PS Selective Laser Melting machine. IDpartners was also responsible for the complete enclosure development, engineering, and realization of the first functional prototype.

Engineering and Prototype Realization

The design concept was further developed into a fully engineered and production-ready solution. Both the structural frame and the sheet metal enclosure were meticulously designed and detailed to meet the highest standards of manufacturability and performance.

IDpartners oversaw the complete production process of the enclosure, working closely with one of our trusted sheet metal manufacturing partners. Following production, we performed thorough on-site inspections and assembled the prototype to ensure precise integration of all components and to validate the functionality of the design under real-world conditions.
